The Allen-Bradley 1747-KE is a DH-485/RS-232C Interface Module. It is a communications interface module that acts as a bridge between DH-485 networks and devices requiring DF1 protocol. The 1747-KE has three ports:

• One DH-485 port
• One DF1 port
• One configuration port (which can also be used as a DF1 port)

The DH-485 port is used to connect to a DH-485 network. The DF1 port is used to connect to a DF1 device. The configuration port is used to configure the module using a personal computer.

The 1747-KE is commonly used in industrial automation applications to connect PLCs (programmable logic controllers) to other devices, such as HMI (human-machine interface) panels, drives, and sensors.
