The Bently Nevada 24765-01-01 is a case expansion transducer assembly (dc) with a linear range option of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) and a spring option of 01 (with spring return). It is a non-contact, eddy current sensor that measures the relative expansion of a rotating machine casing. The transducer is mounted on the machine casing and measures the change in distance between the transducer probe and the rotor. This change in distance is caused by the thermal expansion of the casing and the centrifugal expansion of the rotor.
