The Bently Nevada 330100-90-05 is a Proximitor® Sensor 3300 with a 5 mm nominal sensing distance. It is a non-contact proximity sensor that uses a magnetostrictive principle to measure the position of a target. The sensor consists of a probe and a cable assembly. The probe contains a magnetostrictive element that is excited by a pulsed current. The resulting magnetic field interacts with the target, creating a signal that is proportional to the distance between the probe and the target. The signal is then transmitted to the cable assembly, which contains a conditioning circuit that converts the signal into a voltage or current output.
